National Cancer Institute Requests Public Comment on Proposed Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial
The National Cancer Institute is seeking public comment on a proposed data collection project, the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial (PLCO), which aims to determine if cancer screening can reduce mortality from these cancers, with an estimated 254,570 deaths annually in the U.S. The trial, which has undergone periodic review and approval since 1993, will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for review and approval.
