Medicaid Program to Prohibit Payments for Preventable Conditions, Effective July 1, 2011
The final rule implements section 2702 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, prohibiting Medicaid payments for health care-acquired conditions and allowing states to identify additional provider-preventable conditions, effective July 1, 2011.
