U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Lists Fluted Kidneyshell and Slabside Pearlymussel as Endangered Species

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has determined endangered species status for the fluted kidneyshell and slabside pearlymussel under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, adding them to the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and implementing federal protections for these species in the Cumberland and Tennessee River systems.
