U.S. Department of Energy Updates Test Procedures for Residential Furnaces and Boilers to Include Standby Mode and Off Mode Energy Consumption

The U.S. Department of Energy has finalized a rule to update its test procedures for residential furnaces and boilers to accurately measure standby mode and off mode energy consumption, as mandated by the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, and incorporates the latest edition of the IEC Standard 62301.
