NMFS Decides Not to Add New Fisheries to 2013 Sea Turtle Observer Requirements

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has decided not to add new fisheries to its 2013 Annual Determination (AD) for sea turtle observer requirements, following its authority under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The existing fisheries identified in the 2010 AD will remain on the list until December 31, 2014, and will be required to carry observers upon NMFS' request.
