FDA Releases Draft Guidances on Product Classification and Device Definition

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has published two draft guidances to clarify product classification as drugs and devices, as well as the interpretation of the term 'chemical action' under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, for industry and FDA staff.
