FDA Authorizes Emergency Use of Doxycycline for Inhalational Anthrax Prophylaxis

The FDA has issued an Emergency Use Authorization for oral formulations of doxycycline to prevent inhalational anthrax during a public health emergency involving aerosolized Bacillus anthracis, following a declaration of emergency by the Department of Health and Human Services and a determination by the Department of Homeland Security.
