Guidance for Industry: Bar Code Label Requirements-Questions and Answers; Availability

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing the availability of a document entitled "Guidance for Industry: Bar Code Label Requirements--Questions and Answers" dated August 2011. The guidance announced in this notice amends the October 2006 guidance document of the same title by incorporating a revised response to question 12 (Q12). The revised response concerns the ability of vaccine manufacturers to use alternative coding technologies to the linear bar code requirement. The guidance announced in this notice finalizes the draft guidance entitled "Guidance for Industry: Bar Code Label Requirements--Questions and Answers (Question 12 Update)" dated August 2010, and is superseding the guidance entitled "Guidance for Industry: Bar Code Label Requirements--Questions and Answers" dated October 2006.

Proposed Data Collection Submitted for Public Comment and Recommendations

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as part of its continuing effort to reduce public burden and maximize the utility of government information, invites the general public and other federal agencies the opportunity to comment on a proposed information collection, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This notice invites comment on a proposed information collection project titled Public Health Crisis Response (PHCR) Cooperative Agreement. The Public Health Crisis Response (PHCR) Cooperative Agreement provides rapid funding to help existing public health programs respond to major public health emergencies and crises.
