FDA to Host Public Meeting on 510(k) Clearance Process Recommendations

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is hosting a public meeting to gather public comment on recommendations proposed in the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report, 'Medical Devices and the Public's Health, The FDA 510(k) Clearance Process at 35 Years.' The meeting will take place on September 16, 2011, at the Silver Spring Hilton Hotel, and attendees are encouraged to register online or by phone to provide input on the proposed recommendations.
