BOEM Issues Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for Offshore Wind Lease Issuance in Atlantic OCS

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has released an environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for the issuance of renewable energy leases and site characterization activities in the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) off New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. The EA concludes that the environmental impacts of the preferred alternative will not significantly impact the environment, making an environmental impact statement (EIS) unnecessary.
