Grand Rapids Public Museum Completes Inventory of Human Remains and Associated Funerary Objects

The Grand Rapids Public Museum has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects, in consultation with Indian tribes, and has determined that there is a cultural affiliation between the remains and objects and present-day Indian tribes. The museum is now accepting contact from any Indian tribe that believes itself to be culturally affiliated with the remains and objects, with potential repatriation to the listed tribes if no additional claimants come forward.
