US Fish and Wildlife Service Announces 12-Month Finding on Petition to List San Francisco Bay-Delta Longfin Smelt as Endangered or Threatened

The US Fish and Wildlife Service has announced a 12-month finding on a petition to list the San Francisco Bay-Delta population of longfin smelt as endangered or threatened, but listing is currently precluded by higher priority actions. The agency will add the Bay-Delta DPS to its candidate species list and develop a proposed rule to list the species once priorities allow.
