Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Proposed Fee-to-Trust Transfer and Resort Development

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is planning to gather information for an environmental impact statement for the transfer of 170.1 acres in Taunton and 146.39 acres in Mashpee to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, aiming to support tribal economic development and create a tribal land base.
