FMCSA Adopts Hours-of-Service Exception for Railroad Signal Employees

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has amended its hours-of-service regulations to align with the statutory exemption for railroad signal employees operating commercial motor vehicles in connection with railroad signal work, as mandated by the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008, which took effect on July 16, 2009.
