U.S. Maritime Administration Requests Administrative Waiver of Coastwise Trade Laws for Vessel

The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) has received a request for a waiver of the U.S.-build requirement of the coastwise laws, allowing a vessel to operate without meeting this requirement, and is seeking public comments on the potential impact on U.S. vessel builders and businesses using U.S.-flag vessels.
