Nissan Granted Exemption for Leaf Vehicle Line

The US Department of Transportation has approved Nissan North America, Inc.'s petition to exempt the Leaf vehicle line from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard, citing that the proposed antitheft device is likely to be as effective as the parts-marking requirements of the Theft Prevention Standard.
