Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations: Income Deductions and Resource Eligibility

The Department of Agriculture proposes changes to the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) to simplify administration, expand access, and align with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The proposed rule would eliminate household resources from eligibility determination and expand income deductions for medical expenses and shelter costs.
