Western Area Power Administration Proposes New Formula Rates for Western Power and Transmission Services
The Western Area Power Administration is proposing new and revised formula rates for its western power and transmission services, including the Central Valley Project, California-Oregon Transmission Project, and Pacific Alternating Current Intertie, as well as two new services: Unreserved Use Penalties and Generator Imbalance Services. The proposed rates aim to provide sufficient revenue to cover annual costs, including interest expense and aid to irrigation, and will be available for public review starting January 11, 2011.
