DOE Announces Plans to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Northern Pass Transmission LLC's Proposed Electric Transmission Line

The Department of Energy is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement to assess the potential environmental impacts of granting a Presidential permit to Northern Pass Transmission LLC to construct a new electric transmission line across the U.S.-Canada border in northern New Hampshire, in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service and the Army Corps of Engineers.
