US Extends Sanctions Relief to Iran Under National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012

The US government has taken actions to extend certain sanctions relief to Iran under the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, as part of a joint plan of action with Iran and its P5+1 partners to continue negotiations on a long-term solution to ensure Iran's nuclear program is exclusively peaceful. This relief was initially agreed upon in November 2013 and was extended through June 30, 2015.
