U.S. Department of State Proposes Rule to Prevent Overwhelming Accreditation and Approval Renewal Requests in Intercountry Adoptions

The proposed rule aims to prevent a surge in concurrent renewal applications by allowing some agencies and individuals to qualify for a one-year extension of their accreditation or approval period, thereby distributing renewals more evenly and enabling the Council on Accreditation to process them more efficiently.
