OSHA Proposes to Revoke Permanent Variances for Chimney Construction

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is proposing to revoke permanent variances granted to 24 companies in the chimney construction industry between 1973 and 2010, replacing them with a single, uniform variance that provides more consistency and increases worker safety.
