NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by pot catcher/processors in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area due to concerns of exceeding the 2011 total allowable catch allowance.
