US Nomination of Marine Protected Areas to National System Updated

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Department of the Interior (DOI) have updated the National System of Marine Protected Areas by adding four existing marine protected areas managed by the National Marine Fisheries Service, following a nomination process initiated in August 2010. This update corrects a previous Federal Register notice from December 2010, which incorrectly listed 38 existing marine protected areas for nomination.
