Western Pacific Fishery Management Council Proposes Amendment to Ecosystem Plans to Establish Annual Catch Limits and Accountability Measures

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) announced that the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council is proposing an amendment to its five fishery ecosystem plans to prevent overfishing, rebuild overfished stocks, and achieve optimum yield, with the goal of establishing annual catch limits and accountability measures.
