Coast Guard Announces Petition for Rulemaking to Establish Special Load Line Exemption for Gulf of Mexico

The US Coast Guard is seeking public comment on a petition submitted by a river barge operator to establish a special load line exemption on the Gulf of Mexico, allowing non-load line river barges to transit along the west coast of Florida en route to/from Tampa Bay.
