Coast Guard Issues Interim Guidance on Lifesaving and Fire-Fighting Equipment for Offshore Facilities and MODUs

Following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon disaster, the Coast Guard has released recommended interim voluntary guidance for lifesaving and fire-fighting equipment, training, and drills on offshore facilities and mobile offshore drilling units (MODUs) operating on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf (OCS), and is seeking public comments on the guidance.
