US Department of Justice Extends Trial Period for Seizing Property Involved in Drug Offenses

The US Department of Justice is extending the trial period for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to seize and administratively forfeit property involved in controlled substance offenses for an additional year, allowing the agency to refine its processes and hire more staff.
