NIOSH Extends Public Comment Period for Carcinogen and REL Policy Assessment

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is reviewing its approach to classifying carcinogens and establishing recommended exposure limits (RELs) for occupational exposures to cancer hazards. NIOSH has extended the public comment period for its policy assessment until December 30, 2011, to allow more time for public input.
