HHS to Review Petition for Brookhaven National Laboratory Employees to be Included in Special Exposure Cohort

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced its decision to evaluate a petition to include a class of employees from Brookhaven National Laboratory in the Special Exposure Cohort under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, which covers workers who were exposed to hazardous materials between 1980 and 1993.
