Burke Museum Completes Inventory of Human Remains, Opens Repatriation Process
The Thomas Burke Memorial Washington State Museum at the University of Washington has completed an inventory of human remains in consultation with Native American tribes, and is now accepting claims from tribes that believe they have a cultural affiliation with the remains. Repatriation to a specific tribe may occur if no other claimants come forward.
