NIGC Delays Class II Minimum Internal Control Standards Rule and Suspends Regulations
The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) has delayed the effective date of a Class II Minimum Internal Control Standards rule, originally set for October 10, 2008, and suspended related regulations. This move aims to maintain the current regulatory framework while allowing tribes and gaming operations to transition to the new standards, which were published on September 21, 2012.
