Pipeline Safety: Extension of Comment Period for Gas Transmission Pipelines Regulations

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is extending the comment period for its proposed rulemaking on the safety of gas transmission pipelines, initially set to close on January 20, 2012, to allow for more time to evaluate comments received on the Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) published on August 25, 2011.
