Honeywell Issues Airworthiness Directive for Certain Turbofan Engines
Honeywell International Inc. is issuing an airworthiness directive to remove from service certain high-pressure compressor discs in its ALF502L-2C, ALF502R-3, ALF502R-3A, ALF502R-5, LF507-1F, and LF507-IH turbofan engines due to a risk of disc fracture, which could lead to uncontained engine failure and airplane damage.
