FMCSA and PHMSA Restrict Use of Hand-Held Mobile Phones for CMV Drivers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) are updating regulations to limit the use of hand-held mobile phones by drivers of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs), aiming to reduce distracted driving-related crashes and fatalities on US highways.
