Mitsubishi Cement Corporation has submitted a plan for the South Quarry expansion project, which could feed the cement plant for approximately 120 years, to the San Bernardino National Forest and San Bernardino County for permitting. The project involves the expansion of the South Quarry, which would total approximately 153.6 acres, and the construction of a haul road 1.8 miles in length.
