ArborGen, LLC to Conduct Environmental Assessment for Genetically Engineered Eucalyptus Hybrid Field Release

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has prepared an environmental assessment for a proposed controlled field release of a genetically engineered clone of a Eucalyptus hybrid, intended to test its cold tolerance, lignin biosynthesis, growth, and flowering, and has determined that it is unlikely to pose a plant pest risk or have a significant impact on the environment.
