USDA Proposes Changes to Import Inspection Regulations to Support Public Health Information System

The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is proposing amendments to its import regulations to better integrate with the PHIS Import Component, which provides an electronic alternative to traditional paper-based processes, and to clarify procedures for imported products and foreign establishments.
