USDA Adopts Final Rule for Avocado Assessment Rate in South Florida

The USDA has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for avocados grown in South Florida from $0.37 to $0.25 per 55-pound container, effective for the 2012-13 fiscal period and beyond, to help reduce industry costs and expenditures for research.
