FSIS Requires Reassessment of HACCP Plans for Comminuted Poultry Products Following Salmonella Outbreaks
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is mandating that establishments producing not-ready-to-eat ground or comminuted chicken and turkey products reevaluate their Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans to address recent Salmonella outbreaks linked to comminuted NRTE turkey products. Inspectors will verify compliance within 90 days of the notice's publication.
