Energy Conservation Program: New Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential Furnaces and Air Conditioners
The U.S. Department of Energy has adopted new energy conservation standards for residential furnaces and central air conditioners and heat pumps, as mandated by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, in an effort to reduce energy consumption and save energy.
