IRS Issues Temporary Regulations for Foreign Tax Credit Splitting

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has published temporary regulations to provide guidance on a new provision of the Internal Revenue Code, enacted as part of the Education Jobs and Medicaid Assistance Act (EJMAA) in 2010, related to separating foreign income taxes from related income.
