US Treasury Removes 3% Withholding Regulations for Government Entities

The US Treasury has issued a decision to repeal the final regulations requiring 3% withholding by government entities on payments to service providers, effective immediately, as the 3% Withholding Repeal and Job Creation Act previously repealed the underlying provision in the Internal Revenue Code.
