SBA Amends Disaster Loan Program Regulations to Enhance Credit-Based Repayment Ability and Expedite Disaster Assistance

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is updating its disaster loan program rules in response to recommendations from the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force, allowing the agency to rely more heavily on borrowers' credit scores to assess repayment ability and increasing the amount of funds that can be immediately disbursed to those in need.
