U.S. Department of the Interior Seeks Regulations for Marine Mammal Impact from Oil and Gas Industry Seismic Surveys in Gulf of Mexico

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has received a revised application from the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) for authorization to take marine mammals during seismic surveys for oil and gas exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf in the Gulf of Mexico from 2012 to 2017.
