NMFS Announces Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to analyze the potential environmental impacts of reducing the risk of serious injury or mortality of right, humpback, and finback whales due to entanglement in commercial fisheries off the U.S. East Coast.
