Proposed Revisions to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR): Control of Items the President Determines No Longer Warrant Control Under the United States Munitions List (USML)
The US government is proposing changes to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to update the list of controlled items, following a review initiated by President Obama in 2009 to enhance national security. The proposed revisions aim to make the lists more streamlined and efficient, aligning with the Administration's plans to review and revise the Commerce Control List (CCL) and the USML.
