US Fish and Wildlife Service Modifies Retention Limits for Highly Migratory Species in Atlantic Trawl Fisheries

The US Fish and Wildlife Service has finalized a rule to reduce bycatch of highly migratory species, including swordfish and sharks, in Atlantic trawl fisheries, in line with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act and the 2006 Consolidated HMS Fishery Management Plan.
