SEC Proposes Exemptions for Law Enforcement Records Under Privacy Act of 1974

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposes to exempt portions of three new systems of records from provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, for law enforcement purposes. The SEC also plans to make technical amendments to its Privacy Act regulation.
