Temporary Closure of SR 39 Vertical Lift Bridge in New Orleans Due to Bridge Repairs

The US Coast Guard has issued a temporary deviation to allow the SR 39 vertical lift bridge to remain closed during the day, except for two scheduled openings per day, while repairs are made to replace the deck plating and stringers on the bridge.
